I currently reside in Salem, OR but have roots among the cornfields of northern Indiana and the rural outskirts of Pittsburgh (which means I say pop instead of soda and speak Pittsburghese). I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from Goshen College. Although I consider creative writing to be my steadfast passion, I also studied journalism, photography and graphic design as well as self-publishing a chapbook and interning with the Communication and Marketing department. The time that I spent living and studying in Tanzania and London has been my most meaningful education to date.

Off-duty, I take in as many books, movies and cups of coffee as possible and live-tweet Steelers games in between bouts of novel writing and hikes at Shellburg Falls.
